SPRING IS ALMOST HERE!
SPRING IS ALMOST HERE!
SPRING IS ALMOST HERE!

longer, warmer, sunnier days means some songs with guitars, and songs about numbers (apparently), time to employ reaaallly cheesy gimmicks in 音楽 club submissions. Ideally, you would listen to this mini mix in order on a 75 degree day on a rooftop at 2pm sipping on a hefeweizen. It is not quite an ideal world yet, but let’s get to it anyway!

1517-The Whitest Boy Alive
ignoring the fact that the melody sounds stupidly similar to harder, better, faster, stronger (down to the cymbals!), this is still really a pleasant listen. i did not lie about not having any more whitest boy alive. i just went on hypemachine and found a blog that leaked the entire upcoming album. ps. andres, i really like done with you. i really need to get on those kitsune maison compilations, but it’s hard with my love/hate relationship with comps.

1000 Times-Tahiti 80
wallpaper for the soul is definitely an album that i break out every spring to listen to at least once

1901-Phoenix
new.motherfucking.phoenix

One Note Samba/Surfboard-Stereolab+Herbie Mann
you may both have this song. eh. i always liked this song, but it took me a while to actually enjoy it. what can i say? i ❤ the yazz flute.

Two Naira Fifty Kobo-Caetano Veloso & Banda Black Rio
from the live album bicho baile show…

29 Beijos-Os Novos Baianos
just a really laidback jam from these guys. this is probably the rooftopiest song of this bunch. oh, and i did not forget. here is one of their awesome albums, acabou chorare.
